HOUSTON — Houston’s largest nonprofit organization has employment opportunities available and invites enthusiastic job seekers to learn more about Houston’s largest non-profit agency. On October 18 from 6 to 8 p.m., Neighborhood Centers is hosting a networking event at Baker-Ripley Neighborhood Center located at 6500 Rookin in Gulfton neighborhood.

The event is for individuals and job seekers who want to learn more about the ways in which Neighborhood Centers helps to transform communities and the employment opportunities at the organization. The event is an opportunity to meet and network with agency executives, senior management team members, key program staff and other representatives.

Attendees will hear from the agency’s leadership about Neighborhood Centers’ growth, accomplishments, and impact in Houston and need for additional team members. Attendees are encouraged to bring resumes and portfolios to share with Neighborhood Centers.

“We want people to learn more about the opportunities to be a part of an organization that is transforming communities for good,” said Andrea Gillis, director of human resources at Neighborhood Centers. “Whether you have worked in the non-profit, corporate, or other professional industry sector, we want you to take a closer look at us. Houston is one of nation’s leading cities for opportunity and talented workers. Our current team of more than 1,200 staff reflects that talent and we are looking to grow."

“At Neighborhood Centers, we have a dynamic setting where people can apply their experiences in finance, community development, project management, accounting, technology, information systems, human resources, marketing, fundraising, management, and more.” Gills said. We need people who want to contribute to a great mission and who seek career advancement in order to make an impact on our success. Neighborhood Centers is a challenging yet very rewarding place where staff can continually learn and grow and be part of a changing Houston.”
