Congratulating Jonathan Day- Recipient of the Karen Susman Jurisprudence Award
Please join Neighborhood Centers Inc. in congratulating our friend Jonathan Day on his receipt of the 2012 Karen H. Susman Jurisprudence Award, presented by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) on April 5, 2012. Jonathan has served as a pioneer in developing and instituting invaluable assets for the City of Houston and the State of Texas. Neighborhood Centers Inc. is particularly grateful for his dedication, commitment and contributions to our mission and vision. Jonathan led highly successful efforts to rebuild Ripley House, establish our Emerging Needs endowment fund, and create the Baker-Ripley Neighborhood Center campus and community-based programs -- which are receiving national attention as best practices for revitalizing large, multicultural urban areas.
Jonathan joined our board of directors in 1996, served as Board Chair and is now a Life Member. Among his greatest contributions to Neighborhood Centers are his wisdom, leadership and compassionate commitment both in the board room and in the community. These traits are evident in his acceptance speech upon receiving the Karen H. Susman Jurisprudence Award, which we highly recommend you take the opportunity to read.
