A new school year is upon us, and one special community partner has stepped up to ensure that area students have the supplies and services they need to start the year off right.

For the ninth consecutive year, Chevron hosted its
Khakis and Collars event to provide students with much needed school uniforms and haircuts. This year more than
2,200 school uniforms were distributed at our six community center locations, three Promise Community School campuses and our New Neighbor School. This represents a 34% increase over last year. To date, Chevron has provided more than 10,000 uniforms to qualifying students.
More than 130 Chevron volunteers distributed uniforms and directed interactive, family-friendly activities at the events. Their generosity allows hard working families to send their children to school looking bright, eager and ready to learn. Thank you Chevron!
