Celebrate the World in Your Neighborhood
The highly anticipated grand opening of the Baker-Ripley Neighborhood Center in the Gulfton / Sharpstown community is near! On Saturday, September 25 the public is invited to the ribbon-cutting ceremony and day-long celebration.
Paying homage to Gulfton’s culturally diverse community, the "world in your neighborhood" theme will set the tone for the carnival-like festivities that will feature musical entertainment, cultural performances, games, prizes, a Wii tournament, membership giveaways and more. Look for the official event program in next month’s issue of Around the Neighborhood.

Baker-Ripley Neighborhood Center Now Open for Business
Can’t wait to see you at the grand opening, but you don’t have to wait until September to check us out. Baker-Ripley Neighborhood Center opened its doors in early August and the Texas Education Agency exemplary Baker-Ripley Neighborhood Centers Charter School starts classes on Monday, August 23.
