Neighborhood Centers Inc. executive honored with Lifetime Achievement Award

The Houston Area
Association for the Education of Young Children (HAAEYC) presented Ann Hilbig
with its 2008 Lifetime Achievement Award at a banquet on May 28, 2008. The
award honors her dedication to ensuring that all children have access to a
high-quality education.
Among her many achievements, the HAAEYC specifically noted her tireless work in educating community leaders and elected officials on the importance of quality early care and education. Among her volunteer positions, Ann has served for six years on the HAAEYC Board of Directors (including one term as president), is a former Chair of the Texas Association of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies, and is an active participant in the Early Care and Education workgroup of One Voice, a network of public, private and nonprofit organizations in Houston whose goal is to address the health and human services needs of all Texans.
