Neighborhood Centers Inc. Charter School – Ripley Campus opened in the fall of 2002 with an enrollment of 34 students in kindergarten and first grades. Located within the beautifully designed new home of Houston’s historic Ripley House Community Center, the school primarily serves the East End community.

Our students’ scores on the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) test have earned Ripley Campus ‘Recognized’ status from the Texas Education Agency. According to the Texas Education Agency’s District Academic Excellence Indicator System, otherwise known as the District’s Report Card not only is our school a Recognized Campus, but we achieved a Gold Standard Acknowledgement for our commended performance in writing. More importantly, the high standards and rigor of our curriculum prepare students for continued success throughout their academic careers.
