How do you motivate teachers, students, school officials, parents and community partners at the start of a new school year? – By showing them 'the promise.'

 

Where can they see it? – At the Gulfton Promise Neighborhood Education Rally on Wednesday, August 17, 2011, at 5:30pm. What is the promise? – To make quality education a reality from cradle through college to career for every child in Gulfton.

 

Hundreds of teachers, school officials, students, and parents from the Gulfton/Sharpstown area will gather at Baker-Ripley Neighborhood Center and make their own pledge of what they will do to strengthen education and help students realize their own potential.

 

Hosted by KHOU Channel 11’s Alex Sanz and featuring a special address by Mayor Annise Parker, the Gulfton Promise Education Rally promises to inspire!
