For our senior neighbors, there is tremendous value in the concept of “aging in place.” The desire to remain independent, to be surrounded by familiar neighborhood sights and sounds and to be near friends and family is universal.
Seniors also bring stability, resilience and a sense of history to our neighborhoods. Supporting their unique needs is vital to community strength, and more cost-effective than institutional care.
We offer a variety of activities and services for seniors in 20 locations throughout the city. Our holistic approach includes necessities such as nutritious meals, health and wellness activities and ongoing education as well as leisure-time activities such as field trips, arts and crafts and games.
Volunteers play a vital role in the services we provide.
