Our Choices in Education division provides options and opportunities for students and their parents through an innovative school system that provides quality, consistency and connection at every critical juncture in a child’s life.
 Education is vital to strong communities and prosperous neighborhoods. Our goal is to ensure that children and their parents have access to needed educational services that can ensure success in the classroom for all students.
Our programs include:
A high-quality Early Head Start and Head Start
A recognized elementary Charter School in Houston's historic Ripley House
We provide a clearly defined path and in-depth assistance for students and parents along the way, ensuring that children transition successfully from early childhood programs through elementary school and on to middle and high school.
Each stage in the development process builds upon the successes of earlier efforts, creating an atmosphere of achievement that ensures higher education opportunities – and a lifetime of accomplishment.
Applications are now being accepted for 2008-2009 for the following programs:

Early Head Start/Head Start
Neighborhood Centers Charter Pre-K
Neighborhood Centers Charter School (grades K-5)
Please complete the online Pre-Application (Español) or print the Pre-Application Form(Español)and submit by mail or fax. CiE program staff will contact you within three business days of receipt of your pre-application. Completing this pre-application does not guarantee acceptance into a Choices in Education program.
