TXU Energy Turkey Trot Completes a Successful 19th Year
The Turkey Trot is a Sheltering Arms and Houston holiday tradition that’s been around for 19 years, drawing more people each year and yes, some have even run all 19 times.
This year’s race attracted 12,425 registered runners and raised a whopping $507,501 in total revenue from registrations, sponsorships, fundraisers and t-shirt sales. The event received media attendance from KTRK-TV ABC 13 and KPRC-TV NBC Local 2, and garnered coverage from the Houston Chronicle.
On behalf of everyone at Sheltering Arms, the 68,000 seniors they serve each year, and everyone at Neighborhood Centers, a big THANK YOU to presenting sponsor TXU Energy, all the sponsors, donors, supporters, partners, runners, visitors and volunteers who contributed to a very successful Turkey Trot.
