Education leaders from all over the state are joining forces and flexing their innovation muscle to give education a boost at the Texas Education Center Summit in Houston this week. Many will look to Neighborhood Centers’ creative and pioneering work in education and community development to discover pathways through the challenges of economic hardship, access to services, and limited English proficiency.

A trusted leader in the field of education, Neighborhood Centers has been asked to "share the wealth" with other Texas educators and shed light on the agency’s success with non-traditional education partners. Unique Collaborations in Education will be the focus of a presentation given by Neighborhood Centers’ Senior Vice President, Chief Operations Officer, and Promise Community School Superintendent, Doug Shadle. He will share insight and information about the power of collaborations in the Gulfton Promise Neighborhood, Promise Community School, New Neighbor School for refugee children, and Head Start programs.
